What is Double Brokering?

Double Brokering is the re-brokering of a load to another trucking company without the consent of the original shipper. This unauthorized activity violates the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) legislation and is considered illegal. Additionally, this duplicitous activity leaves carriers and shippers alike exposed to financial and liability risks and with no way to reconcile any service issues.
