About Terence Dougherty
Terence “Terry” Dougherty is Managing Director, Business Development at eCapital, where he works with companies, advisors, and referral partners to structure asset-based lending solutions that address complex working capital and liquidity needs.
Terry brings nearly 30 years of experience in banking and commercial finance, with deep expertise in asset-based lending. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions spanning business development, underwriting, portfolio management, credit, restructuring, and capital markets, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the operational and financing challenges businesses face.
Prior to joining eCapital, Terry served as Managing Director of Capital Markets at Cerebro Capital. He has also held senior leadership roles with MidCap Business Credit, CNH Finance, MidCap Financial, MB Financial, BB&T, and CapitalSource. Terry began his career as a Corporate Field Examiner with M&T Bank and subsequently held a range of lending and credit leadership roles.
Drawing on experience across business development, underwriting, credit, portfolio management, and capital markets, Terry helps clients evaluate financing strategies, access working capital, and navigate growth, transition, and restructuring opportunities.
Terry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Widener University.
