Richard is a seasoned legal executive who works closely with eCapital’s leadership team to navigate complex transactions, regulatory matters, and corporate governance challenges. His practical, business-minded approach helps guide the company through critical decisions while ensuring the strong legal and compliance foundation needed to support continued growth.

Prior to joining eCapital, Richard spent more than 16 years at NV5 Global, Inc., a publicly traded engineering and consulting firm, where he served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In that role, he led the company’s legal function during a period of significant expansion, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and public company compliance. Earlier in his career, Richard held senior legal roles with Bureau Veritas and other global organizations, building deep expertise in corporate law, enterprise risk management, and strategic transactions.

Richard holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Miami.
