John Nelson joined eCapital UK in August 2026 as Managing Director, UK, where he is responsible for the long-term strategic direction, performance and growth of the business.

In his role, John provides day-to-day leadership of eCapital UK’s operations, working closely with the executive team to deliver the company’s strategic ambitions, enhance the client experience and drive continued growth across its specialist funding solutions.

John brings 39 years of experience in financial services, including almost two decades specialising in receivables finance and asset-based lending. Throughout his career, he has held a range of senior leadership positions across corporate banking, risk, portfolio management and commercial leadership, developing a strong track record of delivering sustainable growth, building high-performing teams and fostering long-term client relationships.

Recognised for his strategic insight, commercial acumen and collaborative leadership style, John is focused on strengthening eCapital UK’s market position and leading the business through its next phase of growth and innovation.
